| Oct.16.2008 | The Joint Energy Law and Policy Conference organised by Professor Loukas Mistelis (QM/CCLS) and CECINT (Centre for International Commercial Law) at Universidad Gabriel Mistral (UGB), Chile was held in Santiago, under the patronage of the British Council, the British-Chilean Chamber of Commerce, the Chilean Bar Association and the National Commission of Energy of the Government of Chile and the sponsorship of 14 companies, including law firms, newspapers and energy companies, was held on 16 October and was attended by some 150 people. It was opened by the Deputy Ministry for Energy.
The conference focused on two main areas - Economy, Environment and Energy and Business, Sustainable Development and Alternative Sources of Energy Professor Mistelis addressed the issue of EU competence on Energy Matters and the Setting of An Agenda and Dr Laurence Shore who is a visiting Professor at CCLS addressed the Energy Chartered Treaty |
